Hist., Vol. 4, p. 187: “from country store at intersection of Hwy69 and FM515, go west on FM515 for 1.4 miles and the road to Rock Hill is on the north side … turn north and the entrance to the cemetery is 0.2 mile from the turn. … In 1972 there were many yellow flowers in bloom … cemetery is unusual in number of graves for each individual family group. Earliest date 1867. Cemetery well-cared for by families … arrangements have been made for neat concrete markers to be placed at all the grave sites, replacing those whose headstones were only native rock. Paved internal access roads. .Pavillion, maintained men’s and women’s outhouses on either side of parking areas. Large Oak trees near pavilion.. Surrounding area wooded, rural residential.
