Driving Directions:From Woodville (US 287/190 junction), go 6.8 miles east on US 190. Turn left at CR 3550 and go 0.1 mile north and west. At this point there is an overhead power line running south of the road. Follow this power line ~540 ft. south. At this point, there is an old house site located at western edge of power line. The approximate grave location is at northeast corner of house, in the vicinity of some yuccas and a cedar. A small piece of concrete may be a grave marker.This is a highly endangered gravesite. It is a map feature, but only the approximate location of the grave is known. According to USGS topographic maps, the gravesite is located at the northwest corner of an old house site, which is marked by a well, an outbuilding, miscellaneous construction debris, and several large sweetgum trees. At the approximate gravesite location, there are several yuccas and a large cedar. There is also a small fragment of concrete in the yucca patch. This may be a grave marker. Other than ornamental vegetation and the small piece of concrete, there are no signs of a grave at this location. The site is bordered by a logging road and a overhead power line. |
