Driving Directions:From US 190 and FM 256 junction, go north on FM 256 for 4.3 miles, or from US 69 in Colmesneil, go 8.2 miles south-southeast on FM 256. Turn right (or left if coming from Colmesneil) at private road marked “Grassburr Acres.” Go 0.2 mile east through gate. At Whitmeyer sign just past gate turn right and follow edge of field for 0.1 mile. Cemetery is approx. 71 Ft. south of road, along fence row.The endangerment level for this cemetery is medium. It is not a map feature and is located on in a remote area on private property. There is no signage or direct access from a public road. The cemetery is maintained and fully fenced. Several of the graves are marked with concrete cylinders that have no inscriptions. One grave has a railroad rail section foot marker. There is a sign posted on the cemetery gate that gives the cemetery name, and it states that the cemetery is maintained by Col. Philip A. Workcamp #1790, Woodville. |
