Driving Directions:From FM 1013/FM 92 junction in Spurger, go 0.4 mile north on FM 92. Turn right at CR 4430 and go 0.9 mile east. Turn left at CR 4425 and go 0.1 mile north. Turn right at entrance to Walnut Tree Hunting Club and go 0.6 mile east. Turn right at intersection and continue for another 0.6 mile south-east. Cemetery is adjacent to road, on the north side, in wooded grove. Cemetery is surrounded by logging.This cemetery is highly endangered. It is not a map feature and is located in a remote area on private property. To reach the cemetery, one must travel approx. 1.2 miles on winding logging roads that at times may only be accessible by four wheel drive vehicles. The cemetery is not fenced and encroaching logging is threatening the site. When this survey was conducted, logging equipment had recently penetrated the cemetery boundaries. One headstone was nearly destroyed by logging activities. |
