Directions Driving Directions:From Loop 304 in Crockett, go 3.0 miles east on SH 7. Go through gate on north side of road and go approx. 0.6 miles north. The cemetery is located approx. 0.3 mile east of farm road in a pasture overlooking Beaver Creek. Note: Called Smith on USGS topo maps.This cemetery is highly endangered. It is a map feature, but is located on private property and is not accessible to the public. There are no cemetery signs. The cemetery is not maintained and is heavily overgrown. An ornamental cast iron fence encloses the cemetery. Sections of the fence are missing or damaged and have been patched with new woven wire. Grazing livestock and feral hogs have heavily disturbed the cemetery. The majority of the grave markers are fallen, leaning, or displaced. There may be graves outside the fenced cemetery. An inscribed marker is located approx. 54 ft. north of the fenced cemetery, at the base of a Crape Myrtle. The inscription reads:(Front)Gracie ElviraJuly 27, 1912June 19, 1915(Back)Daughter of G.W. and M. McKinneyIt is unclear whether this is a displaced marker or a segregated grave. If it is a segregated grave, there may be more unmarked graves in the area.
