Driving Directions:Far northwestern Houston County. From FM 227/FM 1272 junction in Grapeland, go 7.5 miles west on FM 1272. At the very end of FM 1272, where the pavement ends and it becomes CR 2265, go 2.2 miles north on CR 2290 (there is cemetery sign posted at intersection). Cemetery is on east side of road, just south of CR 2290/CR 2295 junction.The cemetery is a map feature; however, on USGS topographic maps, the cemetery is called Anthom. The cemetery is fully fenced, maintained, and active. Cemetery signs are posted on county roads leading to the cemetery. Cemetery features include ceramic photographs, fieldstone markers, grave slabs, and brick masonry cairns. A sign-in book is located at the cemetery entrance. |
