Driving Directions:From Loop 304 in Crockett, go 1.4 miles south on FM 2712. Turn right at gated ranch road between two houses. Go 0.9 mile west on ranch road to fork. At fork, go left for another 0.2 mile past metal clad barn and through unlocked gate. Cemetery is on the left (south) side of road. Note: this cemetery is located approx. 1.1 miles southeast of Box-Beeson Cemetery.The cemetery is fully fenced, maintained, and very active. When this survey was conducted, there were numerous recent burials. Grave marker types include fieldstone, petrified wood, homemade and locally cast concrete, formal granite and marble, and metal funeral markers. One grave plot is marked with a large rock encased in glass. "V.H." is inscribed on the rock, and the glass case bears a metal tag embossed with, "House of the Rock," and "The Home of the Harrields." A dilapidated wood shed stands nearby. Other cemetery features include curbing, mounding, scraped earth, gravel covering, and floral decorations. The cemetery is located within private property and one must get permission from the property owner and cemetery caretaker to visit. |
