| Description |
The original Reinaissance Revival style courthouse was modified in 1923 with the removal of the gabled roof and pedimented bays and soaring central tower. The dentiled cornice was replaced by a Mission style parapet and the original limestone facade covered with stucco. |

Extensively remodeled in 1923 in the "Prairie Style" when clock tower was removed, cornice eliminated, brick details changed, and plaster coated. Copper dome replaced original tower. CH Page & Brothers.
