Description |
Constructed of brick and cast stone in the Beaux Arts style with brickwork entablature and ornamental details with copper pediments, cornices and central dome. The base is defined by brick courses and round arched window openings. The building features a triple height entry portico supported by ionic columns. |
Modifications |
Addition in 1935 designed by C.H. Page and constructed by Knutson Construction Co.; and 1957 addition designed by Hedrick, Stanby, and Lightfoot Architects and constructed by P.G. Bell & Co..1979: Extensive renovation- ISTEA Grant - reahabilitate exterior features. Some landscaping. Restoration work and landscaping was completed on September 15, 1997. |
